On November 15, the 4th annual conference "Transport infrastructure of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region" was held in Russia (St. Petersburg). This is the largest regional platform for discussing topical issues of transport infrastructure development in regions with an extensive business and exhibition program.
In 2017 the key theme of business program was designated as "Transport systems of the future". In this context, wide-ranging projects such as Western High-Speed Diameter, Pulkovo development, and the design and construction of the Eastern Speed Diameter were widely discussed.
This year the conference was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia - Nikolay Asaul, heads of government of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, profile committees, representatives of federal and regional authorities, business community and industry experts from two regions.
ICA Construction became a participant of the exhibition held within the framework of the conference and together with the state company "Russian Highways" and LLC "Two Capitals Highway" presented Sections 7 and 8 of M11 high-speed highway project. ICA Construction is the general contractor for the construction of these stages. The new M-11 high-speed highway will connect Moscow and St. Petersburg. The significance of the route is determined by several factors. It will become an alternate route for M-10 «Russia» road, which has exhausted its capacity long time ago. M-11 will be integrated into the system of international transport corridors. In addition, each section of the new highway also performs a local task, making life easier for residents of the regions and cargo carriers.
